Epidemiology
Hand-foot-mouth disease is an infectious disease caused by enteroviruses (EV). Currently, 108 kinds of serotypes of enteroviruses have been found, which are divided into four groups: A, B, C and D. Among them, enterovirus EV71 and CoxA16 are the main pathogens. The disease mostly occurs in children under 5 years old, and can cause herpes on the hands, feet, mouth and other parts. A small number of children will develop complications such as myocarditis, pulmonary edema, and aseptic meningoencephalitis.

Work Flow
Option 1.
Recommend Extraction Kit: Macro & Micro-Test General DNA/RNA Kit (HWTS-3017-50, HWTS-3017-32, HWTS-3017-48, HWTS-3017-96) and Macro & Micro-Test Automatic Nucleic Acid Extractor (HWTS-3006B, HWTS-3006C), it should be extracted strictly according to the instructions. The sample volume is 200 μL, the recommended elution volume is 80µL.
Option 2.
Recommended extraction kit: Macro & Micro-Test Sample Release Reagent (HWTS-3005-8), it should be extracted strictly according to the instructions.
Option3.
Recommended extraction kit: QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Kit (52904) or Nucleic Acid Extraction or Purification Kit (YDP315-R), it should be extracted in strict accordance with the instructions. The sample volume is 140 μL, the recommended elution volume is 60µL.
