Epidemiology
Dengue fever (DF), which is induced by dengue virus (DENV) infection, is one of the most epidemic arbovirus infectious diseases. Its transmission medium includes Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. DF is mainly prevalent in tropical and subtropical areas. DENV belongs to flavivirus under flaviviridae, and can be classified into 4 serotypes according to surface antigen. Clinical manifestations of DENV infection mainly include headache, fever, weakness, enlargement of lymph node, leukopenia and etc., and bleeding, shock, hepatic injury or even death in severe cases. In recent years, climate change, urbanization, quick development of tourism and other factors have provided more rapid and convenient conditions for transmitting and spreading of DF, leading to constant expansion of epidemic area of DF.

| Specificity | Interference test results show that when the concentration of bilirubin in serum is not more than 168.2μmol/ml, the hemoglobin concentration produced by hemolysis is not more than 130g/L, the blood lipid concentration is not more than 65mmol/ml, the total IgG concentration in serum is not more than 5mg/mL, there is no effect on the dengue virus, Zika virus or chikungunya virus detection. Hepatitis A virus, Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus, Herpes virus, Eastern equine encephalitis virus, Hantavirus, Bunya virus, West Nile virus and human genomic serum samples are selected for the cross-reactivity test, and the results show that there is no cross reaction between this kit and the pathogens mentioned above. |

Work Flow
Option 1.
TIANamp Virus DNA/RNA Kit (YDP315-R), and the extraction should be conducted in strict accordance with the instruction for use. The extracted sample volume is 140μL, and the recommended elution volume is 60μL.
Option 2.
Macro & Micro-Test General DNA/RNA Kit (HWTS-3017-50, HWTS-3017-32, HWTS-3017-48, HWTS-3017-96) (which can be used with Macro & Micro-Test Automatic Nucleic Acid Extractor (HWTS-3006C, HWTS-3006B)) by Jiangsu Macro & Micro-Test Med-Tech Co., Ltd., and the extraction should be conducted according to the instruction for use. The extracted sample volume is 200μL, and the recommended elution volume is 80μL.
