Epidemiology

Influenza, commonly referred to as 'flu', is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus. It is highly contagious and spreads mainly through coughing and sneezing. It usually breaks out in spring and winter. There are three types: Influenza A (IFV A), Influenza B (IFV B), and Influenza C (IFV C), all of which belong to the Orthomyxoviridae family. The main causes of human diseases are Influenza A and B viruses, and they are single-strand negative-sense, segmented RNA viruses. Influenza B viruses are divided into two major lineages, Yamagata and Victoria. Influenza B viruses only have antigenic drift, and they evade the surveillance and clearance of the human immune system through their mutations. However, the evolution rate of influenza B virus is slower than that of influenza A virus, and influenza B virus can also cause human respiratory tract infection and lead to epidemics.

Cross-reactivity: there is no cross reactivity between this kit and influenza A virus, adenovirus type 3, 7, human coronavirus SARSr-CoV, MERSr-CoV, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-229E, HCoV-HKU1, and HCoV-NL63, cytomegalovirus, enterovirus, parainfluenza virus, measles virus, human metapneumovirus, mumps virus, respiratory syncytial virus type B, rhinovirus, bordetella pertussis,chlamydia pneumoniae, corynebacterium, escherichia coli, haemophilus influenzae, jactobacillus, moraxella catarrhalis, avirulent mycobacterium tuberculosis, mycoplasma pneumoniae, neisseria meningitidis, neisseria gonorrhoeae, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcus epidermidis, streptococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus pyogenes, streptococcus salivarius and human genomic DNA.
